Darrel Sturges, Watershed Inspector

Originally from Patterson, New York, Darrel graduated from SUNY Oneonta with a degree in water resources and a degree in business management / administration from Mount Saint Mary College. His professional experience includes working for:

• Geologic Services Corporation as a hydrogeologist,
• Griggs-Lang Consulting Geologists, Inc. as a hydrogeologist,
• Severn Trent Laboratories as a field technician,
• Cortland County SWCD as a conservation assistant
• Tompkins County SWCD as a resource conservation specialist

Additional professional accreditation includes Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC).

Darrel handles program administration, new and replacement wastewater treatment systems, billing, complaints, and regulated facility water quality monitoring for Schuyler County.

Josh Cole, Watershed Inspector Assistant

Josh grew up in Odessa, NY. After graduating from Odessa-Montour Central School in 2005, Josh went on to receive an associate’s degree in social sciences from Tompkins Cortland Community College and went on to work for Jeff’s On-Site Services for 7 years.
Josh conducts the real property transfer inspections, Lamoka-Waneta Lakes District water treatment system inspections and the majority of private water supply sampling.
