Founded in 1987, The Humane Society of Schuyler County is a 501c3 not for profit organization dedicated to improving the welfare of animals in Schuyler County. Our mission is to eliminate pet overpopulation, prevent cruelty to animals, provide quality care for homeless animals, promote responsible pet ownership, and help the community to develop humane principles toward all animals.To address this mission we offer a low-cost spay/neuter service for the dogs and cats of eligible area residents. For animal complaints or to report an animal bite, please contact Animal Control Officer Renee Hatch at (607) 535-8222, Tuesday through Saturday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm.
