Weatherization Referral and Packaging Program (WRAP)

The Weatherization Referral and Packaging Program (WRAP) assists income eligible Seniors with weatherization; energy related problems and home repairs.

Weatherization Assistance

Referrals made to Weatherization Assistance Providers can assist eligible homeowners and owners of rental properties with measures to improve energy efficiency including:

• An energy audit of the home, conducted by trained professionals, to identify specific needs;
• Repairing/correcting “defects” in the home that are energy users
• Weather stripping and caulking around doors and windows;
• Cleaning, testing repairs, or replacement of heating system;
• Replacement or repair of storm windows
• Replacement or repair of broken windows or and/or outside doors
• Addition of insulation to walls or ceilings
• Door sweeps
• Provide smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors as needed

Additional GRANT funding available for Energy and Health & Safety related repairs, including modifications to homes of those with disabilities may include:

• Roof repair or replacement
• Foundation repairs
• Restoration of porches or stairs
• Hot water heater replacement
• Wheelchair ramps
• Handicap accessibility (shower; doorways, etc)

Minor Home Repair needs may be addressed through the use of our valuable volunteers, such as:

• Minor plumbing repairs such as leaky faucets
• Fixing loose floor boards or rickety stairs
• Installing grab bars or other safety devices

Packaging  refers to services or “package” of services arranged by Office for the Aging in collaboration with other agencies.

If you qualify for the Home Energy Assistance Program, then you qualify for WRAP Program.
