Other Technical Assistance
In addition to our other program areas, the District is available to provide technical assistance to county residents on various issues including the following:
Drainage (surface and subsurface)—provide a site visit and recommendations (survey and design if necessary) for any drainage concerns on your property
Pond Site Evaluation and Assessment—will conduct a site visit, determine suitability and provide a topographic map (with recent aerial imagery, soils and other pertinent layers) of your property prior to pond construction.
Erosion and Sediment Control Practices—will conduct a site visit and recommend various practices which could be utilized for establishing vegetation on your property or other structural practices for erosion and sediment control.
Soil Interpretation and Sampling—will evaluate the soils on your property for various suitability uses. The District can also take a soil sample and have it analyzed for nutrient and chemical composition for $20.
Seeding and Mulching—the District will seed, mulch and fertilize exposed soil areas for a set fee of $600/acre. Seed mixtures can be developed to fit the site. A site visit and recommendations can be provided at no charge.
