Criminal Investigation Division. The Investigation Division is responsible for investigating a full range of criminal activity, investigating fatal accidents, maintaining the Sheriff's Office's evidence, and handling narcotics investigations. Investigators handle cases ranging from homicides to petit larcenies and are routinely assigned to burglaries, robberies, forgeries, larcenies, welfare fraud and suspicious deaths.
