Merit Awards

The Merit Award program is an award for eligible youth in grades 5 through
12th for academic achievement and/or attendance throughout the school year.
It can be awarded for each marking period or for the entire year.

The awards are gift certificates to Walmart:
$25 for perfect attendance in each marking period
$10 for no illegal absences in a marking period
$25 for being on your school's honor roll for a marking period
$10 for a 5 point increase in your grade point average
An eligible senior can receive a computer for perfect attendance and achieving the
honor roll for each marking period.
