HEAP
Home Energy Assistance Program

HEAP provides energy assistance to low income households through payments to those households' fuel and/or utility suppliers. This program also provides emergency assistance for repair or replacement of essential heating equipment and in fuel emergency situations.

Regular HEAP benefits:
* Benefits for households responsible to pay directly for their heating costs range from $150 to $400.
* Benefits for persons whose heat is included in rent will receive benefits ranging from $40-$50.
* Payments vary depending on household income and type of heating.
* You may be eligible for regular HEAP even if you have resources.
