Schuyler County Public Health seeks to improve the system of care for all children and their families. Our goal is to help shape public policy so families can get the best health care for their children including those who have health concerns or delays which require extra support and services. We offer three separate programs for Children with Special Needs. The Early Intervention Program is for children birth to three years of age with developmental concerns or delays. The Children with Special Health Care Needs Program serves children and their families from birth to 21 years of age who have long term conditions that require support. The Preschool Special Education Program, provided by the local school district and supported by Public Health, is for children three to five years old with developmental delays.
